Fonts for wedding invitations

When designing the text for a wedding invitation, careful attention must be paid to a number of points that will help you keep a clean, readable and elegant appearance.
Having selected the type of invitation, you can select the font that would best match the character of your event and the invitation itself. A suitable font complements the desired look and reflects your personal taste. We recommend that you choose the most suitable font rather than the most beautiful font, in order to maintain a uniform design theme.
For example, the Hebrew font “Kidush” will impart a religious Jewish character to the invitation. On the other hand, the Hebrew font “Yam HaMelach” (The Dead Sea) will evoke a loose mood of a wedding in the outdoors, by the sea or in the desert.
Handwriting Hebrew fonts such as “Caprisa”, “Noga” or “Marzipan” normally convey a lighter and less formal mood of a party, and will be best suited, for example, to weddings being held on Fridays or in the afternoon.

As in Hebrew, English block or handwritten fonts may be used for English texts as well. Naturally, texts in more than one language may be incorporated in the same invitation.
Another important point to observe is a proper text layout with correct hierarchical structure and spacing that would enable you to include all of the important information while still keeping the text readable, clear and easily understood by all of your invitees.
Special emphasis should be placed on the amount of information included in the invitation. A text-laden invitation will look less prestigious and will adversely affect the recipient’s willingness to read it through.
We present an extensive range of text samples, designed in the fonts used by PaperBoutique to design wedding invitations.
We will be delighted to answer any question you may have and provide any additional advice or information you may require.
